I AM
I am a small pebble
in a field of rocks.
Watch out,
so you don't crush the little pebbles
in your move.
I am just a pebble
in the shadow of boulders.
But we can't all be boulders.
There has to be pebbles too.
Some see me as a boulder...
but I'm not.
They think I'm strong ...
but I'm not.
Even though I'm just a pebble,
I'm still important.
Or
am I like a tree?
Some people are the leaves,
Some are the branches,
and some are roots.
Not often seen,
but they are the strongest.
I am a branch.
Strong enough to help some,
but can break
in a strong wind.
But we can't all be roots.
Even roots need other roots.
One root
can not carry a whole tree.
Even though I'm just a branch
I'm still important.
