Holding
to America The Beautiful
![]()
To
America across this land her beauty,
Mountains of majestic peaks;
To the plains and coastal waterways;
To precious eyes upon the sky;
clouds so blue upon her plains, cast eternal beauty,
to majestic sky;
What holds to fate, do I see; love for a nation
That open the doors to me,
In the streets of America,
home of the proud;
As I walk this land;
endless miles;
upon vast roads;
From coast to coast to land beyond her coastal waterways,
Traveling on to dreams to a better life,
With hopes tomorrow lends a future,
To its small towns and large cities, I searched her wealth,
finding her beauty In every means,
To her spacious beauty;
was stories
and precious moments,
Shared; with the people of this land,

Looking
high to the sky ,an eagle,
Soaring upon the graceful land ,
Saying; "This land is mine
This spacious land of ours"
To her coastal ways,
I look at her past that's holding to her internal beauty,

The Mountains
Declare His Glory
Thomas Kincaid
Asking;
"Can this land be preserved for freedom?
Can this land be cherished by all?"
Her internal security and compassion ,
holds little desire, when it comes to her people
Then do I see the homeless, the crime, the hurt among its people,
Then does her arms open to engulf her sorrowed,
beneath the wings,
hold upon eagle righteousness,
With arms of welcome and opportunity for all.
Then do I wonder what holds to her beauty,
that vanished help among all,
Yes, problems beyond belief;
Then do I see her beauty unfold across this land,
When all come together ,
when times are of need,
Then do I see her strength,
her freedom emerge upon this land,
When we all pull together,
in this land of ours,
to bare our sons and daughters to war,
Then I ask what for;
my reply;

"America the beauty,
so precious, your mine;
With honor and pride,
one stand up and shouts among all;
From coastal shores to the majestic peaks,
your mine;
your mine;
I'll go the miles across this land,
to say and hold this truth, your mine;
This nation of mine,
land of my forefathers, land of mine."
